“and the day came when
the risk it took to stay tight in the bud
was more painful than the risk
it took to blossom”
~ Anais Nin
…but then so over-whelming was the beauty
it became the necessity for living
it justified existence
— became a reason in itself.
The image at the top of the page was taken at the
Self-Realization Fellowship Temple Gardens
in Hollywood, California.
It has become my inspiration
for the “change of pace” painting
shown just above in progress.
This painting is slightly smaller than my usual.
It will be less formal in style, maybe slightly impressionist,
and the colors slightly more pastel.
This is somewhat of a break for me
because it should take less time to finish
than the tighter more formal paintings,
and it is refreshing to do something a little bit different.
Consequently the price should be a little less,
– and its nice to offer options to viewers and collectors.
Also, lately I’ve heard a few references to art being
a factor in keeping the brain young.
I’m not sure what this is about or how this works
but it could be an interesting topic to learn more about.
